About Us
Chatham Industries Limited is a leading manufacturer and exporter of premium quality leather garments for men and women. Established in 1972, by Mr. James E. Sweeney, we have won a sound reputation for our fine workmanship and superior materials. Our main products include outerwear, jackets, coats, vests, skirts, and pants produced using a variety of different leathers such as goat, lamb, cow, and pig skin.
Production
Our factories are well equipped with up-to-date and efficient machinery. Because we focus on the manufacturing of leather garments, our employees have the skills and the experience to produce high quality merchandise. With these tools, we are always capable of producing the latest trends in high fashion. We import premium quality leather from Italy, Spain, France, and Taiwan. Our production capacity is 8,000 to 10,000 pieces per month. Our main export market is North America, however our merchandise can also be found in Japan, and Europe.
Quality Control
Our products must pass stringent quality control tests before they are shipped. Each finished piece has passed through at least 5 inspections. The first inspection is performed when raw materials are received. The second is completed after the leather is cut. The third inspection takes place during production. We also inspect the finished garments before they are pressed and again when they are packaged. These inspections are carried out with care and attention to detail to insure that our clients receive high quality merchandise.
Location
Chatham Industries Limited is headquartered in Hong Kong. We also have factories located in Jiangmen and Wuzhou, China. The Hong Kong head office supervises both of these factories.
